London to Venice

Feel the comfort of Venice Simplon-Orient-Express on a journey from London to Venice

Introduction

For those who relish the journey as much as the destination, a luxury train trip on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is quite simply the only way to travel between London, Paris and Venice. Described by Vanity Fair Magazine as, “The train against which all luxury trains are measured,” the 1920’s antique-filled, art deco sleeper cabins have been restored to their full glory to create one of the most enviable train journeys in the world, while three Grand Suites offer the sheerest of indulgence. Dine on the finest food in one of three sumptuous dining cars while enjoying impeccable service and mesmerizing mountain scenery as the train rolls across the Alps. Experience the glamour and glitz of the roaring twenties in the decadent Champagne Car, or listen to a pianist play on a baby grand piano in Bar Car ‘3674’ while enjoying an aperitif or nightcap.

Those who travel to or from London will also relish the onboard opulence of sister train, the wonderful Belmond British Pullman. Lovingly restored, the train’s 1920’s carriages are rich in history and have hosted the British royal family. Art deco interiors feature magnificent mosaics, hand stitched fabrics and stunning marquetry, while enticing menus are compiled by talented chefs based on seasonal produce.
