Venice to Paris

Feel the enjoyment of travelling aboard Venice Simplon-Orient-Express from Venice to Paris

Introduction

For those who relish the journey as much as the destination, a luxury train trip on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is quite simply the only way to travel between London, Paris and Venice. Described by Vanity Fair Magazine as, “The train against which all luxury trains are measured,” the 1920’s antique-filled, art deco sleeper cabins have been restored to their full glory to create one of the most enviable train journeys in the world, while three Grand Suites offer the sheerest of indulgence. Dine on the finest food in one of three sumptuous dining cars while enjoying impeccable service and mesmerizing mountain scenery as the train rolls across the Alps. Experience the glamour and glitz of the roaring twenties in the decadent Champagne Car, or listen to a pianist play on a baby grand piano in Bar Car ‘3674’ while enjoying an aperitif or nightcap.

  • Day 1

    Venice

Board the one and only Venice Simplon-Orient-Express at Santa Lucia Station in Venice. After settling into your luxurious cabin, wander along the corridor to one of the atmospheric dining cars for an exquisite three-course lunch. Spend the afternoon watching the wonderful scenery unfold as the train winds through the Italian Dolomites – the stunning mountain range famed for its jagged peaks and picturesque valleys. Crossing Austria, we follow the picturesque Arlberg Rail Route into Switzerland. Your steward will serve fresh pastries and refreshments in your cabin, and you may wish to explore the boutique for bespoke, monogrammed gifts. Dinner is an elegant affair with a lavish four-course dinner, so make sure to dress in your finest and perhaps enjoy an aperitif first in Bar ‘3674’ while listening to a pianist on the baby grand. Following a night cap, return to your cabin which has been transformed into a comfortable bedroom.

  • Day 2

    Paris

Awake in France to fresh brewed coffee and a generous continental breakfast served in your cabin before the train arrives in Paris Gare de L’est Station, where your train journey ends.
